This is day #119 of our World Cruise ... OMG!!
Malaga has a population of 550,000 people. It has a subtropical climate, it's covered with lush vegetation and averages 342 days of sunshine a year. It is very pretty and very clean city.
Pablo Picasso was born in Malaga, Spain and there are tours past his house and there is also the Picasso Museum.
We have two excursions today.
The first one is called "Panoramic Malaga" and it leaves at 9:15 AM.
It is followed by a Navigate the World Special Event. This is an event only for the World Cruisers and it is called "Fiesta & Flamenco" and it starts at 1:00 PM. The bus we boarded this morning will drive us to the location of this event.
We start our tour by driving up to Gibralfaro viewpoint and get a panoramic view of the city.

From there, we drive to the Old Quarter and park the bus. We walk to the Cathedral of Malaga, to view from the outside only.

| The Cathedral of Malaga |
It was built between 1528 and 1782...it took so long because they kept running out of money and one tower of the church still remains unfinished.
We then have one-hour free time to shop and explore. We are to meet back in front of the Cathedral by 11:45 to get back to our bus and on to our second event. There is a bit of a drive to get there.
We leave the city and drive into the country to the Hacienda La Biznaga.
Upon arrival, we are welcomed by 4 standing horses close by the entrance and flamenco ladies giving all of us a red carnation.

In a small tent, there is an Iberico Spanish Ham Cutter -- a guy slicing the ham, very thinly, off the ham. Waitresses circulated offering other canapés...all wonderful.

It was a wonderful show and the horses were fabulous. I was hard to try and capture this on film.
After this, there is a buffet lunch set out for us to enjoy. While we eat there is a show of male and female Flamenco dancers, singers and a guy also playing Spanish guitar. The entertainment was very professional and non-stop. The food was delicious.

At 5:00 PM the buses roll up and it's time for us to go back to the ship. It was a terrific afternoon.
We are having pizza tonight in Compass Rose with Richard & Mickey and Dave & Karen. We are meeting them in Stars Lounge at 6:30. Rich & Carol are there as well, so they join us.
There was a lot of talk about this afternoon's event and the general consensus is...this was the best event of all the Regent World Cruiser's events.
After our pizza dinner we go to the Galileo Lounge for a "final, final".
When we get up there, we see a lot of people at the windows and on the outside deck with cameras. We are passing Gibraltar. Wow...I almost missed it. We now enter the Atlantic Ocean.

I got up with a bunch of girls and we sang "I Will Survive"...Barry was up with 3 other guys and sang something but I can't remember what it was and then I got up with Karen and Gabriella and sang Bryan Adam's "The Summer of 69". That was it...enough!!
We went to our cabin and bed.
The clocks get turned back one hour tonight.

Wow...sure going out with a bang. You'll be needing a holiday from your holiday. The costumes are gorgeous as are your pics., Hey Who knew you're the real "rockers of Gibraltar"!
