APR. 1st -- MANGALORE, INDIA

Happy April Fool's Day!!!
FYI -- Temperature is:  92°F/33°C😎😅💦

Last night after dinner with Rich & Carol, Barry & I came back to our cabin and decided to skip our excursion in the morning.  It leaves at 8:30 AM and we don't want to get up early to go out.

Mangalore Port's welcome sign

We decide to take the free shuttle into town and explore on our own.
We head into town on the 10:30 AM shuttle and "surprise, surprise"...Rich & Carol are on board.

The mall is very nice and modern...there are a lot of shoe stores, a lot of men's stores and for the women, there are Sari stores.
There were some absolutely beautiful sari's, however I was not in the market for one.

Traditional Sari

We walked around for about 45-minutes and stopped to have an iced tea at McDonalds.  We head back to the ship at about 11:30...there are hawkers everywhere in town and they are very bothersome.
When we arrive back at the ship, we head into the terminal and take a look at the clothes, jewelry and souvenirs on display.
I saw a jacket in the window and went to check it out.  I tried on a couple of jackets...various sizes, colours and pricing.  We picked one out and I left Barry to negotiate a price.
So, here it is.

Back ...ignore my toes!!

Beautiful, right?

We are keeping the rest of today and tonight very quiet.  Barry had to go see the doctor again as he cannot seem to shake his cough.  So, he has another batch of medication and we're keeping our fingers crossed.
We are getting busy with excursions and we want him to be able to enjoy them.
Anyway....

  3. If he wants to shake his bug,and to nip the next cold in the bud. Tell him to soak his feet in warm water, Pat dry, and put a coating of Vicks Vapor Rub on the bottoms of his feet, put on a pair of fresh cotton socks and go to bed. He'll sweat something fierce, but it will draw the bug out of his system. I haven't had a sniffle in years! In any case I hope that he feels better soon.
    The jacket is lovely...
    Ttys!
