FEB. 10th -- EN ROUTE TO SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA

We are still cruising the Coral Sea en route to Sydney, Australia.  We wake up at the decent hour of 8:00 AM and decide to have coffee on the balcony.  How civilized is this!

Coffee on the balcony...love it.
There's not a lot going on today on board.  There are a lot of people getting off the ship in Sydney, as well as some crew.  Our Captain is leaving the ship on Tuesday and we get a new Captain.  Because it is the end of a segment of the cruise, there is a special farewell performance given by the crew -- it is called "Krew Kapers!".  The crew -- waiters & waitresses, stewards & maids, etc. -- perform songs and dance and it's usually a lot of fun.
I took a lot of pictures.

The stage when we arrived @ 6:00 PM

Captain giving opening remarks & some stats.
The Captain gave some very interesting stats for the segment of the cruise that was from Tahiti to Sydney...the only ones I remember is -- the number of bottles of wine consumed were 3782 and the red wine exceeded the white by only 10 bottles; there were 500+ bottles of booze consumed; 14,0002 eggs were eaten (I think he added to 2 himself) and he also ran through nautical miles and stuff like that.
Then the show began.

Krew Kapers opening number...

I don't know????

I think Bobby Darin probably rolled over in his grave with this one.

After the performance, we head up to the Galileo Lounge to listen to our guitar guy, Nikolai.

Beautiful sunset.  I almost missed it -- took the picture from dining room window
We have dinner in the Compass Rose and are once again beside Audrey & Carol.  We chat through dinner and say goodbye.  They will be getting off in Sydney.

Big day tomorrow.
We arrive in Sydney @ 7:30 AM and are double-booked.  We have an excursion in the morning and one tomorrow night.
That's it.
G'night.
