MAR. 11th -- NHA TRANG, VIETNAM

We arrive in Nha Trang at 11:00 AM.

Coming into the harbour

Our excursion is called "Guided Pedicab Ride Through Nha Trang" ... it is at 11:15 AM.

FYI -- Weather is:  87°F/31°C
Currency exchange is:  $1.00 USD = 23,132.80 VND (that is Vietnam Dong)

A pedicab is sort of like a rickshaw but I wasn't sure what, exactly, the difference was.  So I looked it up.

According to Google ...    As nouns, the difference between a pedicab and a rickshaw, is the pedicab is a tricycle having a hooded cab to seat paying passengers while a rickshaw is a two-wheeled carriage pulled along by a person.

Getting ready...
Once we were all lined up, Barry said "Gentlemen, start your engines!"  LOL
All lined up and heading into traffic!!!

Having fun...
This was a blast.  The cab drivers head through traffic fearless and we just hang on.  Through busy intersections and blasting horns, with the smell of food coming from the restaurants we pass and our heads are on "swivel" as we look at all the sights as we pass them.  (We have a radio around our necks and the tour guide tells what to look at and what we are passing.)
What a way to travel.
Everyone came away from this tour ...after about an hour ...pumped and a little sunburned.

From here we went to another market -- Dam Market.  We bought a couple of souvenirs and headed back to the boat.

Nha Trang is famous for their beaches...we passed by the 6-mile, palm-lined, white-sandy beach.  Beautiful beach and the trees and the landscaping was wonderful.
Trees along beach.  Everyone drives a scooter.

Another shot of the beach area.

A very good excursion.

Tonight Barry & I have a Top Tier Cocktail Party & Show.  The show is called "Good Evening Vietnam!" and it is at 6:00 PM.
It lasts about an hour.

Beautiful Ice Sculpture

Sang songs from the Vietnam War era.

We will meet Mike & Wendy at 7:00 PM in the Stars Lounge and see how their day went.
We had dinner in Compass Rose and went up to Galileo Lounge for a nightcap and we ended up dancing for an hour.
The buddies.
Bedtime.
We are in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) tomorrow.

  1. That is spectacular....Vietnam looks like a very interesting spot. Compared to all the white sights in the great outdoors here, the colours in your pictures are welcome! Have a great evening together. I'll be checking in again!
