Currency in Thailand is the Thai Baht (THB).
Exchange rate is: $1.00 USD = 31.61 THB
We have no tour today...refer to Bangkok info.
(So, here's the deal with Bangkok.
First of all we have to dock in Leum Chabang which is about 2 1/2 hours from Bangkok.
Second we have found out that March 16 & 17 are Election Days in Bangkok and there are issues with the two parties (one dresses in red and the other dresses in yellow). If you go in you can't wear either of these colours and you have to make sure you stay with your group.)
What will we do there?
Wendy has investigated getting custom-made clothes done and has 3 names of reputable tailors ... also tailors who can get the order done in time for our departure.
After talking to the representative from Pattaya, we decide to use her recommendation and the tailor's shop is going to send us a car.
So we do this. We spend about 2 1/2 hours in his shop. Wendy & I order a jacket and Barry & Mike order shirts.

The car then takes us to Festival Mall...this is where our free shuttle back to the boat is.
We find an Irish pub right on the main drag and settle in. We "people watch" and have a Thai beer called "SINGHA", which was very good.

| Happy!! |
Right in the centre courtyard of the Festival Mall is a "Battle of the Bands" and there is live music, dancing and kiosks set up all around the perimeter. Very busy & loud.

We go to Compass Rose for dinner and then head to our cabins.
Very tiring day shopping!
