We arrived in Yangon, Myanmar this morning at 6:45.
It is pronounced mee-en-mar.
Myanmar was the richest country in Asia until 1962 when there was a coup and the military took over running the country and did a terrible job. They were in control until 2010 (I think). Now Myanmar is the poorest country in Asia.
We do not have an excursion today due to our colds...still laying low and resting.
Tomorrow we are going off the boat into Yangon.
Quiet day today...more to report tomorrow.
