JAN. 29th -- PAGO PAGO, AM. SAMOA & INTERNATIONAL DATE LINE

We arrive in Pago Pago, American Samoa early this morning.  We were up early enough to watch the approach to port and see the sun rise.

We walk off the boat and go into town.  We walk around for about an hour or so, but there really isn't a lot to see.  And, man oh man, is it hot.  We found ourselves looking for shade to stand in and cool off a little

Island is very lush.

We head back to the ship...and air conditioning.

Today is January 29th.
We cross the International Date Line today.
As we are travelling from east to west, we lose an entire day.
Tomorrow is January 31st.
There is no January 30th where we are.  (Sorry Jeff -- no birthday for you!!)
Tonight we advance our clocks 25 hours!  Freaky!!!

We have a reservation at Prime 7 tonight...that's the steakhouse.  So we dress up for dinner and have a "date night".

The internet has been "sketchy" in the islands so it is taking a little longer to get my posts up...just sayin'.
